Central And Van Buren: A Will Scott Mystery

Central and Van Buren is a classic “who done it” murder mystery set in Phoenix, Arizona in the late 1980’s, a time of slow computers, floppy discs, no internet or social media. It follows the investigation by friend Will Scott into the odd murder of of his fellow attorney and long time friend Jack Peterson. He is asked to look into the matter of what appears to be a murder by his wife, Marla Peterson who feels the pol;ice investigation will be a sham.

There are complications surrounding Jack’s business dealings, investments that did not turn out well, and his legal representation of various unsavory characters, including a retired mafia boss. As Will Scott investigates, he is shadowed by Jimmy Ramos, a Police Detective on the rise who does not want an amateur involved.

Complicating things even further is the fact that both Jimmy and Will are interested in and dating the same woman. His past is swept into his present as Will, family and friends try to figure out what happened to Jack, and why.
