Murder At Old Sarum (Quito Thorson Mystery Series Book 3)
About
The plot and the players have all moved to Europe, to Dublin, Ireland to be precise after Quito received a mysterious note from his friend Missy Meriwether, formerly of the DOJ and now thought to be someone else entirely. Missy has returned to her native Great Britain and has rejoined her old group of family and friends, but who is she really?
The note seems desperate and suggests that her sister, her niece and her brother-in-law have been kidnapped and held for ransom. Some official circles suggest they may already be dead. But why is Quito Thorson summoned when the Brits have a perfectly serviceable MI5 and MI6 to respond to the emergency, and would hardly seem to need the help of an amateur American sleuth. They had a connection once, but that connection was hardly strong.
Missy’s sister tries to connect saying that a note left by Missy herself asked her sister to contact Quito if anything ever happened to her. Could there be a connection between the events the previous year in America, and the current events in the United Kingdom? Between the mysterious and elusive Missy Merriwether and Elizabeth Flannigan?
As Quito arrives in London, events begin to unfold rapidly though there is far more heat than light.
Quito is thrust again into a mystery not of his own making as the lies he has been told begin to unravel and the truth begins to unfold. The vastness and complexity of the global connections are just beginning to be revealed, but are they understood?
